BECOME A CERTIFIED PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certification Courses The Certified Production Technician (CPT) Career Pathway Certification is designed to provide the foundation for front-line manufacturing in a high-performance manufacturing environment. The training includes four MSSC courses:
1. Safety Awareness: Includes Working in Manufacturing, Best Practice Companies, Safety Organization, Hazard Material Safety, Material Handling Safety and more.
2. Quality Practices and Measurement: Includes Blueprint Reading, Basic Measurement, Continuous Improvement, Quality Systems,Dimensional Gauging, Audits and more.
3. Manufacturing Processes and Production: Includes Designing Products, Production Processes, Tools Usage, Components, Packaging, Distribution, Equipment Procedures, and more.
4. Maintenance Awareness: Includes Electrical Measurement, Hydraulic Power Systems, Belt Drives, Machine Automation, Laser Systems, Pneumatic Power Systems, and more.
Together these four courses make-up what the industry recognizes as the MSSC-CPT industry nationally certified credential. Courses can be taken individually, where you can earn a certificate once you pass each course. However, you must pass all four courses to earn the full ‘CPT’ certification. Class Format Practical cases and examples are investigated and discussed, capitalizing on a blended learning approach including 2 onsite training days with 16 hours of self-paced online study for each course, and individual/group activities.
