E’Port Family Homes
The Housing Authority of the City of Elizabeth (HACE), in partnership with Genesis E’Port Family Homes LLC., an affiliate of the Genesis Companies, Inc. has developed 60 units of affordable family housing and supportive housing on First and Third Streets in the City of Elizabeth. The project will include two new 4-story elevator buildings. The building on Third Street will include twenty-four (24) one-bedroom apartments and nine (9) two-bedroom apartments, and the First street building will include twenty-one (21) one-bedroom apartments and six (6) two-bedroom apartments. One unit will be set aside for resident manager.
Approximately 55 parking spaces will be provided. Fifteen units have also been set aside for the homeless and supportive services will be provided by HACE and Bridgeway Rehabilitative Services, as well as a variety of other partner agencies of HACE.
HACE has provided eight (8) project-based vouchers while the State of New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services provided seven (7), totaling 15 project-based vouchers to be distributed within both sites. All of the units will be affordable and set at 60% of the area median income or below.
